Description

Research shows mindfulness practice can decrease stress, improve health, build resilience and even slow down the ageing process. Benefits of taking the course include developing awareness of our present moment experience, finding ways to feel happier, calmer and more fulfilled, to get on better with others, to complete tasks more effectively and to increase resilience in the face of stress and difficulties. The course is focused on supporting adults in developing their own practice of mindfulness in everyday life. Over the duration of the course you will: - Be introduced to a range mindfulness meditation practices and techniques to bring mindfulness to everyday activities such as walking, exercising, eating, listening and speaking. - Learn about the nature of stress and how we can self-regulate our mood. With regular practice becoming skilled at pausing, noticing our reactions and choosing how we respond to challenges that we meet in our everyday lives. - Notice, appreciate and be more present for joyful experiences, becoming happier and feeling more fulfilled. - Bring mindfulness into our communications and relationships, cultivating compassion and learning practical self-care actions that help us to flourish and thrive. As with all new skills, it takes practice and some effort to make time for exploring our experiences. Learning in this experiential way with a guide and friendly companions is shown in research to have the best outcome for our overall health and wellbeing. This course is perfect for anyone who wants a structured, practical, and highly accessible introduction to mindfulness. It is appropriate for people new to mindfulness, anyone who has tried mindfulness apps or perhaps read a book and wants the structure of a course led by an experienced teacher or if you already practice mindfulness and would like to deepen, nurture and re-connect with your existing practice. What's included: - A book to support the course. - Access to recorded mindfulness practices. - 8 x 90 minute sessions - Light refreshments during each session


Cancellation Policy

CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY Please give 24hrs notice to cancel an individual class. If you cancel your participation in a class less 24hrs before the class, unfortunately no refund can be given. You will be able to reschedule your class via the website or app in the My Bookings area 24hrs before the class. JUST BE EVENT & WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY If you cancel your participation in an event or workshop less than 1 week before the event date, unfortunately no refund can be given. At our discretion we may be able to transfer your place to another person to provide you with a refund. DAY RETREAT CANCELLATION POLICY If you cancel your participation in a retreat day less than 12 weeks before the start date, unfortunately no refund can be given. At our discretion we may be able to transfer your place to another person. COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY If you cancel your participation in a course less than 12 weeks before the start date, unfortunately no refund can be given. At our discretion we may be able to transfer your place to another person. RETREAT CANCELLATION POLICY We understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise which may require you to cancel your participation in the yoga retreat. In order to ensure that our retreat runs smoothly and to be fair to other participants, we have established the following cancellation policy: - If you cancel your participation in the retreat more than 12 weeks before the start date, we will refund your payment less your deposit of £200. - If you cancel your participation in the retreat less than 12 weeks before the start date, no refund can be given. At our discretion we may be able to transfer your place to another person. Please note that any bank fees or other expenses incurred as a result of a refund will be deducted from the amount refunded. (10%) - In the event that we cancel the retreat for any reason, we will refund your payment in full. PRIVATE GROUP BOOKING CANCELLATION POLICY A 20% deposit will secure your booking date. Full payment must be provided for group bookings 2 weeks before the event. If you cancel a private group booking less than 2 weeks before the start date, unfortunately no refund can be given. Any refunds will be subject to a 10% admin fee.
